When I started to write this blog, I was full of anger and deeply connected with those families who lost their relatives in this massacre.
The deadliest attack by Maoist on security forces killed 73 CRPF personnel and a local policeman in the thick forests of Dantewada on Tuesday, 5-Apr-2010 road near to the remote village of Chintalnar-Tarmetla - Chhattisgarh. This is not the first attack where mans from security forces are killed.
As per Times of India –
Mar 15, 2007: 55 killed in armed attack and bombings in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh
June 29, 2008: 31 policemen, mostly from anti-Naxal Greyhounds force of Andhra Pradesh and 4 paramilitary members killed in attack on motorized boat in Malkangiri, Orissa.
Apr 8, 2004: 19 Jharkhand Armed Police personnel and 9 CRPF men killed by landmines in Chaibasa, Jharkhand
Jul 9, 2007: 16 CRPF men, 8 cops from Chhattisgarh and 1 civilian killed in attack by Maoists in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh
Feb 15, 2010: At least 24 personnel, mostly belonging to Eastern Frontier Rifles, killed in attack on EFR camp at Silda, West Bengal.
In the worst Maoist attack before this one,
55 civilians were killed, 40 injured and 125 kidnapped in Dantewada on Feb 28, 2006
Much Worse Than J&K
133 people were killed by militants in J&K in 2009. 1134 died in Naxal violence 30 people were killed in J&K till March 29, 2010. 132 have been slain by Naxalites in the same period
Here is the certain question which I forced to ask to myself -
1. Is there anybody who is taking responsibility for the life of 73 CRPF personnel from controlling body of the country?
2. Is there anybody who can make sure that their families get the proper benefit at the right time?
3. What’s the strategy so this will not be happen in near future again?
4. Why not we are using the technology, experts from defense to control this situation?
5. Is this safe to give the controls to these leaders regarding our security who does not have expertise in this area?
There should be certain security norms which every individual follow without considering location or designation and action should be taken if there is any defaulter in spite of their position in parliament or bank balance.
Security is not something which is the property of individuals who can mold the rules or made the statements as he wants. This is the protocol which every citizen should follow to give the better future to their coming generation and responsibility goes to government which includes Bureaucrats and their sub-ordinates.
This is not always related to security forces and weapons. It’s also resolves through awareness. Take an example of road accidents which happens majorly due to not having proper system who can assist people for good driving, punish people for rash driving and appreciate those who are following the rules to see their dreams into reality.
As per The study reports -”India accounts for 13 per cent of road accident fatalities worldwide. With 130,000 deaths in 2007, India tops in the number of people killed in road accidents, surpassing China’s 90,000.
In traffic accidents rules are not strict. Even if it would be strict, the bribery is a common practice. Hundreds of people die in stampede especially in festive season, too many train accidents are all quite common example for your own free will or design; done by choice; not forced or compelled; negligence as an agent. Buildings, bridges collapse because rules are not followed properly. A rule, a principle or condition that governs that a building more than 50 years should not exists, should be strictly followed. Stampede in shrines can be avoided by forecasting the magnitude of the pilgrimage and capacity of the space available. There are thousands of example and hundred black chapters which are just full of innocence blood. Is this enough for us to wake up or we are waiting for something else to happen?
We are compromising till our death not only due to poor infrastructure but also because we are lacking in the firm desire to improve, conflict of interest due to many reasons, so many things which are more important than the human existence etc.
There is a question mark on this system itself. Are you guys not able to do what you want? Or you do not want what you say? It means, we Indians are nourishing with our hard work money to those who are not willing to provide a better future where everybody can breathe without any fear.
Organisation with cause and discipline can minimized the Gap between what we have, and what we are looking for.
God give peace to those souls who died for a noble cause.

rightly asked questions , but these are more worth answering !!The day we'll find answers to them , we won't need these questions!!
Dear Dost...
First of all I will take this opportunity to thank you profusely for your considerate thoughts....you are turning out to be a thinking citizen..good for our democracy...
your anguish is right upto some exetent...this particular massacre as well as earlier ones highlights one fact ...that our security forces are in tearing hurry to demolish Maoist citadel....some Political bosses think that Maoist insurgency is like Polio which can be eradicated by injecting a vaccine as well as consuming few drops of medicine......
this approach is erroneous .....
In this particular case CRPF was hellbent upon dominating the area by displaying show of Force in large numbers.....basic approach to tackle Guerilla warfare is fight Guerilla like a Guerilla....
crack teams consisting of 10- 15 self sustained men are far more effective in clearing the area because of easy mobility....
But the moot question about the responsibilty of these lost lives rest with our governing class since Independence....there is no two way about this theory...why in the first place these tribals are doing this ?
Bread and butter lies at the heart of the genesis of this menace.
Anyway that is for another day....right now there is a need to strengthen policing system by incorporating central forces in State Police system...let them get localized and fight a war of attrition with Maoist....choke their money line and ideological supremacy.....
do not rush...try to wither their strength ...it will take few years but at least we can be spared of collateral damages...it is simply a long drawn war....
Take it easy is the watchword here.
sashi ,Felt really good reading your considerate thoughts ..but what hurts more is the sense of helplessness that is creeing inside me or may be US ...they say where there is wil there is a hope..but suddenly the hopes are blurring away...It high time some one among us needs to see"Forest beyond the trees"
